  • Alma Hybrid® combines ablative and non-ablative laser technology to effectively resurface and rejuvenate the skin. Using Alma's revolutionary HyGrid™ technology, we can customize your laser skin resurfacing treatment to deliver precise results with minimal discomfort.
  • Alma Opus Plasma® uses fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy to resurface the top layers of skin while warming the deeper levels, stimulating collagen and elastin production for long-term results.
  • Alma Harmony® XL PRO with iPixel utilizes a high-powered laser beam to create tiny micro-channels (called pixels) in the skin while leaving the surrounding tissues intact. This approach triggers your body's natural healing processes to promote long-term skin rejuvenation with minimal recovery.

During your skin care consultation at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics, we'll go over each of your laser skin resurfacing options and help choose the approach that is right for your needs. For more extensive treatments, you may be given a topical retinoid for a few weeks before your laser procedure. The retinoid helps prepare the skin for more effective results. Medication may be prescribed prior to the treatment to help lessen discomfort so you can relax during your session. If your complexion only needs mild improvement, local anesthesia will be used to numb treated areas of the face. For the whole face or deeper laser treatments, a form of sedation may be necessary. Throughout the procedure, you can relax in our special treatment chair while a member of our team passes the laser handpiece over your skin, precisely targeting the designated surfaces for rejuvenation. You will feel warmth from the laser, followed by cold air from the built-in cooling system. The laser works to destroy damaged and dead skin cells while also prompting new collagen growth.

As we get older, our skin tends to lose some of its youthful vitality, becoming increasingly dry, flat, and worn out. Laser skin resurfacing treatments at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics are a great solution for Orlando, FL individuals who want to give their skin a new life, offering benefits that include:

  • Minimized appearance of wrinkles and lines

Went on a very busy day for Dr.Grayman. Even though it was busy I didn't feel like she rushed her time with me. This was my first visit with her and I will definitely be going back. So I have had 2 or 3 follow up visits since my initial visit. I have been trying to get rid of this scar/dark area on my forehead. Truth be told I am a picker (yes I know that is bad). And believe me Dr. Grayman also told me this and she kept it real with me saying if I keep picking at the area it won't matter what I do because I keep messing with the area. She also adviced me of what I can do to keep my hands off my face and busy on something else (I got a lil fidget toy). Dr. Grayman is excellent, she really wants you to have beautiful skin but also to take care of it. Dr. Grayman is super fantastic. The scar I had initially went to see her about is clear. My boyfriend says it all the time like "man that spot is really gone". So now I'm just really at a point of trying to stop being a picker and following the skin care routine Dr. Grayman has given me to have clear face. 😊

I felt that she was clear and concise and I loved that they take a picture of the affected area and she's able to diagnose what you have...I am very pleased that she told me to evaluate my diet and that she gave a lot of free samples and free cards for medicines...also the office is gorgeous and it's a big plus that there are free samples of different skin care in the waiting area...staff is very pleasant

There are many factors to consider when choosing which type of laser skin resurfacing procedure is right for your skin. Laser skin resurfacing is geared toward people unhappy with their overall complexion. If you have sun damage, age spots, acne scars, lines and wrinkles, pigmentation, or redness troubles, this procedure can help correct these cosmetic flaws. Also, this treatment works wonders if you have rough texture, scaly patches, or other irregularities. In addition, it is important to understand that there is a recovery period associated with these laser treatments. Depending on the type of laser skin resurfacing treatment and the condition of your skin, downtime can vary. Some treatments involve little to no recovery time, while others, such as ablative laser resurfacing, may require 7 – 10 days for the skin to heal.

How much does laser skin resurfacing cost?

The cost of your laser skin resurfacing treatment will depend on the type of treatment you choose and how many sessions are needed to get your desired results. During your first appointment, we'll talk with you about your skin problems and what you hope to achieve before creating a personalized treatment plan, which will include a price estimate.

What's the best type of resurfacing for me?

Our team at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics can help you choose which resurfacing treatment fits your concerns and goals in your consultation. The best treatment for you will depend on the health and condition of your skin, your skin problems, and how deep you want your treatment to go. How long you are willing to give your recovery may also be an important factor when choosing your treatment type. If you're not sure, it's better to select a lighter treatment then assess your outcomes and decide if you want something stronger for your second appointment.

How can I help my skin recover after a resurfacing treatment?

Before you leave after your session, we will discuss ways to help your skin heal following your treatment. The top rule is to avoid peeling or picking at your skin as it flakes (which is a natural part of the recovery process). Doing this can lead to long-term damage, including scars. You should forgo all hair removal methods on the treated skin, which means no shaving, waxing, or depilatory creams. We can recommend an ointment to help soothe your skin.

How often should I get laser resurfacing treatments?

Based on the method you select for your treatment, you might need to wait several weeks or even a few months between laser resurfacing sessions at our Orlando, FL office. Deeper laser treatments will give you longer-lasting results; however, they will require a lengthy recovery period. You should talk to our team about how often you want to come back for treatments so we can take this into account when suggesting a type of resurfacing in your initial consultation.

If you want to enhance the health and appearance of your skin while reducing the look of cosmetic imperfections, laser skin resurfacing at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics may be the solution for you.
