What Is Stretch Mark Treatment?
Stretch marks are scars that develop as a result of the skin growing or shrinking quickly. Stretch marks commonly occur from weight loss or gain, pregnancy, or puberty. While they're not painful, they can be an unwelcome sight, especially during swimsuit season. Since there is no way to get rid of stretch marks, you can dramatically reduce their appearance with laser therapy at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics. Using groundbreaking cosmetic technologies from Alma, our team resurfaces the skin while stimulating collagen growth underneath for a brighter, more even skin tone. There is no guaranteed way to prevent stretch marks, but that doesn't mean you have to be stuck with them. Contact our Orlando, FL skin care practice to discuss your options for stretch mark treatment. We offer:
- Alma Opus Plasma®: A unipolar radiofrequency (RF) treatment that uses fractional plasma energy to resurface the skin while encouraging collagen production. Opus Plasma is known for delivering powerful results with minimal downtime, making it a favorite for stretch mark reduction.
- Alma Hybrid®: Combines ablative and nonablative laser wavelengths to remove damaged skin cells from the surface and stimulate deeper tissue remodeling. With customizable settings through HyGrid™ technology, this treatment can be tailored to your skin’s specific needs for smoother, more even results.
How Do Stretch Mark Treatments Work?
During your consultation, we'll examine your stretch marks and help determine which of our stretch mark treatments are most suitable for your skin. Before beginning the treatment, we'll apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area. When you're ready, one of our technicians will use the selected handpiece to target your scars. You may feel a snapping sensation as the lasers penetrate the surface of your skin, but there should be mild discomfort. The length of your stretch mark treatment and the number of treatments needed will depend on how extensive the scars are, the size of the treatment area, and your skin's health. When we're done, you can resume your day — no need for downtime.
What Are the Benefits of Stretch Mark Treatment?
There are many treatments that claim to "remove" stretch marks, but few of them offer the results and convenience of laser stretch mark therapy at Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics. Here are just some of the benefits our Orlando, FL patients can experience with laser stretch mark treatments:
- Offers an effective solution for diminishing the appearance of scars and stretch marks
- Promotes healing for a glowing, refreshed look
- Little to no discomfort or downtime for recovery
Pure Skin Dermatology & Aesthetics Reviews
I started seeing Dr. Grayman in March for my hair and alopecia. In the last several months my skin has cleared and my hair is filling in. I'm very happy with the care I've received and her staff is great never once have I felt rushed. She is a direct communicator which I love. I specially sought out an African America dermatologist and she is more than worth the wait. I have had to wait in office once or twice but I wait anytime I go to the Dr. It happens. Patience and kindness goes a long way.
I saw 3 Dermatologist before Dr. Grayman. She was the only Doctor to properly diagnose my condition and resolve it. I have not had an outbreak in more than 3 years!! Very professional and informative 👏 👌
For the first time after several visits this has been the first time a dermatologist has actually touched me and looked at every area I had concerns about while others only looked and quickly came to the conclusion that I had server dry skin.
Dr Grayman was awesome and started treatment right away. I’m excited for this journey.
Posted 11/07/25I waited until my last treatment before writing this review, just to be sure the results hold up. I’d been dealing with a hyperpigmentation area for over 3 years and I tried everything—(OTC products, prescriptions) and seen a few dermatologist. Nothing worked.Frustrated - one day while searching online, I came across Dr. Grayman and PureSkin Dermatology. This time, I specifically wanted to see a dermatologist familiar with my skin type and culture because, after several failed attempts with others, I figured maybe someone who truly understands skin like mine could actually help.At first, I was hesitant (as anyone would be), but I decided to schedule a consultation. After accessing my skin issue, Dr. Grayman immediately knew what kind of treatment would work best. I even said to her “If you’re absolutely confident about this treatment, I’ll move forward with you,” and she said without hesitation, “Yes, I am confident.” At that moment, I felt optimistic that I'm in good hands.Fast forward through 4 treatments—and wow! I’m super satisfied with the results. My skin in the problem area looked so much better. Dr. Grayman and her team have been nothing but professional, kind, and attentive before, during, and after every session. The ladies at the front desk are absolute sweethearts—super warm and welcoming, but still professional. The nurse assistants are just as great—very patient, friendly, professional and detail-oriented.Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Grayman and her team. I 100% recommend PureSkin Dermatology if you’re looking for results and a staff that's professional, attentive and friendly. Hopefully I won’t need more treatments anytime soon, but if I ever do, this will always be my go-to spot. Hands down.Thank you to everyone at PureSkin! Sorry to readers for the long post, but I assure you this isn’t an insider review—just a grateful patient.

Am I A Candidate for Stretch Mark Treatment?
Stretch mark treatment is ideal for individuals seeking to reduce the appearance of stretch marks caused by pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or growth spurts. Candidates include those who want smoother, more even-toned skin and are looking for noninvasive or minimally invasive options. Whether your stretch marks are new or older, treatment can help rejuvenate the skin’s texture and improve confidence.
Stretch Mark Treatment FAQs
Is it possible to completely remove stretch marks?
While completely removing stretch marks is challenging, various treatments can significantly reduce their appearance. Although full elimination is uncommon, the primary goal is to make them less noticeable and improve overall skin texture.
Can you prevent stretch marks?
Preventing stretch marks entirely may not always be possible, but maintaining a balanced lifestyle, staying well-hydrated, and applying moisturizers regularly can support skin elasticity. These habits may help lower the chances and severity of stretch mark development.
Do men get stretch marks too?
Absolutely, men can get stretch marks, especially during times of rapid weight gain or intense bodybuilding. The causes and available treatments are quite similar to those experienced by women.
